Palermo through a new lens

Last December, I was struck by an idea—one of those that greets you while wandering through a beautiful place. That’s when I met my friend Mauro, a professional photographer, and we began organizing what I named the ‘Photography Walk.’ After many conversations and a trial run where I learned so much, the idea finally came to life last Saturday.

We enjoyed a sunny, almost spring-like day, strolling through the heart of Palermo. We learned to observe our surroundings through different eyes and to take photos with more personality—using nothing but our mobile phones. We had coffee in the lovely little square by the old Corona café, chatting and sharing laughs. All in all, it was a truly delightful morning, and since then, we’ve been enjoying the art of photography so much more.

Would you like to join us on our next photography walking tour through Palermo’s old town?

Our meeting point was the iconic Piazza San Domenico
